Fighters that you originally disliked but then became a fan of

Can't think of any. If I dislike the fighter the dislike usually stays. Maybe I'll gain respect for them one day but I don't normally become a fan.

 

Mentioning recent fighters only.

Calzaghe, DLH, Barrera, Lennox Lewis, Darchinyan, Golota(still a fan even though I bash on him sometimes for the weird stuff he did in fights).

 

Not that many i can think of. If i have to choose it would be Calzaghe. Didnt like him that much but started looking forward to his fights since 05. But honestly i think it was his showboating in the RJJ fight. Many people might disagree with me here but i found it hilarious.

Calzaghe. Its still hard for me to give him due credit based on his resume. But I cannot deny his skills in the ring.

 

Manny Pac, mainly because i was a huge Morales and Marquez fan, i used to create hate threads about him all the time, but now he has won me over.

 

I cheered against Pavlik in the Miranda fight. Became a fan afterward.

Hopkins I didn't really like when I got into boxing but became a big fan over time.

Mayweather I wanted to lose against Gatti although I knew he would win. I rooted against him. The way he treated Gatti after the fight. He got a lot of respect from me and Ive been a fan since.

I still dislike Tarver. **** that milkdud.


Although I use to like Cotto a lot but when he fought Corley it turned me off. I don't know why but I just didn't care for him.
