Fighters that you think will retire undefeated

    Yes, sure. I'm not saying that there aren't exceptions. The point I was trying to make is that promoters use the "0" as a marketing tool now, trying to sell their fighters as undefeated prospects. Therefore they think they're protecting their assets by refusing to sign up to big fights/title unifications.

    So you end up with people like Valuev who they tried to sell as an undefeated, invincible giant but who never, ever wanted to sign up to the big fights / unifications etc. All I was trying to say in that post is that to me, undefeated status (though admirable) doesn't really mean all that much when compared to a take-all-comers attitude.

    I would also say that Calzaghe, whose record I view as being completely legit never had the level of competition in the SuperMid division to seriously threaten him (yes, I know he fought & beat some good fighters, but that division hasn't had real depth of quality since the days of Benn, Eubank, Collins etc).
