Fighters that you've warmed up to over the years.

I've got to admit the Diaz brother....other then that I'm more of like/don't like person

 

bj penn - always seemed like a bit of a dick to me but grew to love watching him fight.
nick diaz for sure.
rashad - hated his 'look at me im superman' antics but he seems a very decent guy.
wanderlei to a degree. never much liked his style but can appreciate him for what he is.

 

Tito - I became a fan of his in recent years. I think it's a case of most people just loving to hate him rather than hating him for any specific reason any more.

Bisping gained a lot of leeway with me with his last fight. He really performed and he was great post-fight as well.

I always grow to like everyone eventually.

 

Tito for me, I hated him years ago when he ducked Chuck as long as he could....and after losing he still never shut up. He only has 1 legit win in 5 years and I think that brought him down to earth.

But it was TUF that I actually thought he was cool. I thought Ken would be a great coach and Tito would be an arrogant douch but it was the other way around. Tito was a great coach and spent time with his guys while Ken was just into himself and didn't give a **** about the guys.

 

Yeah, Tito really did seem like he had a big heart and wanted to really help his guys succeed for them, not just for him. He was also prepared to listen to criticism and work to address it, as I recall. Seemed to be a lot less of a prima donna than I expected. And he went way above and beyond in trying to help Matt Hamill out and make sure he wasn't disadvantaged or left out.

He seems like a good guy when we seen him on TUF and also interviews in regards to his own career and other mma fighters..I always think he would make a great coach or leader of a fighters union...He genuinely cares about ppl..And would really give dana fits as a union leader....

Him and Randy would be great union leaders..they know The mma world is run be sneaky rats who treat the 99%of fighters like cattle.

Tito Ortiz (I went from cheering like mad when he got beat by Liddell to cheering like mad when he beat Bader).

Nick Diaz (the guy just brings it everytime).

By the way, I never really understood why people 'hate' Rashad Evans. The guy's a hard worker and he has great wrestling and stand-up skills.

 

Also he's a good ambassador for the sport. Out of the cage he's an intelligent, articulate, witty and stylish guy. He is exactly the type of guy who I'd be sending to schmooze with talk show hosts and such. He is the opposite of a dumbass thug, which is the image a lot of people have of cage fighters. I've long thought that Rashad will end up being Bas version 2 after he retires, a guy who can front a TV show and talk about the sport with confidence and charisma. Like Bas, he strikes me as a guy who's a natural to fill the "ex-champion" media role.
