Some of the older guys who I didnt care for growing up like Tito, Chuck, Wanderlei. One guy I used to despise was Urijah Faber only because I was such a big Jens Pulver fan when they where about to fight I just wanted to see Faber get his head took off. After the 1st fight my respect went up like crazy for Urijah into the point now hes one of my favorite fighters.
Tito - I absolutely couldnt bear the sight of this guy in the earlier days and was jumping for joy when Randy handed him his ass , and when Chuck KO'd him , but then he got a little bit more humble and i really took to him after that Mir - Arrogant ******* to begin with , like all naturally gifted athletes , then again he was humbled and evolved as a fighter , i respect his application and skills , if only he had the dedication to do the hard graft to go with .............. Belfort - I was always of the opinion he was a quitter and was vastly over rated , nowadays he's a ****in well rounded animal who should be treated with extreme caution
Rashad - never like the guy and his attitude but after all of the left from Jackson gym, beef with Bones, train with Spong etc. i have became a fan.
Tito - after that TUF stint, guy became great in my eyes while I hated Shamrock even more. Bisping - Guys honest. In one of his post fight, he was getting booed and He was sincere in saying that Hes just a regular guy from Manchester and is trying to get better. Diaz Brothers for sure.
Nick Diaz--still not a big fan but i like him a little bit now.. Tito Ortiz--after watching the ultimate fighter show, he wasn't so bad after all. rashad evans--same thing after seeing him coach in the UF show, he ain't so bad.
I never hated him but unfortunately for Tito I was a Chuck man. However when Tito fought Bader, I wanted him to win badly and cheered like I'd been supporting him for years. I wanted the swan song to continue against Rashad but it wasn't meant to me.
He reminds me a bit of an American MMA Eubank in alot of ways. Obviously they are nothing alike but both are happy to be the hated guy, showmen, stylish in a way, good at talking, superior/smug sense to them, their personalities and fighting abilities/styles dont seem to properly mesh. Rashad isnt as good or as much of a character though.
Nick Diaz. that whole "i got people picking cigarette butts outside my house" and "Mayweather making 20million and he cant even stop the double leg" comments at the BJ Penn post fight presser were hilarious. and i watched one of the countdown episodes where he discuses his first school wrestling and says he got pined in like 10 seconds lol. he just seems like a real dude and i can respect that, and hes entertaining as hell in the cage. i hope he wins against condit but its gonna be real tough. I like his chances against GSP more honestly.
