His last 3 opponents have been particularly iron-chinned. Put Berto or Ortiz in there, we would see Pac dropping more opponents.

Billy Conn went from Lightweight to Heavyweight and staggered Joe Louis.

Charles went from 157 to heavweight and KOd guys with a 60 pound weight advantage over him.

Chavez went from 116 to 154 and still often scored KOs and TKOs.

Duran's lowest weight that we have a record of was 119 lbs. At 150 and above, he had 32 victories, 15 by KO. Just under 50%. Pacquiao started at 106. With the same jump of at least 31 pounds, he has a record of 6 wins, 3 bk KO, or exactly 50%. (And one of those wins by KO could have easily been allowed to run out the clock in the last round).

So yeah, the feat has been done before.

pacs a fraud get over it, and none of your examples show a fighter saying they need weeks before a fight to be tested because they r afraid of needles and it weakens them, thats where most of the suspicion comes from. pacturdz cant understand this

 Did you even read the post? I suspect not, there are examples there for you.

...and for the record, Pac didn't go up 50lb either, he went up 39.:blood

Also, "damn near tko's in every fight"? What are you on? In Pac's last nine fights he has had 5 of them go to decision, 2 of them were from an accumulation of punches (lasting 9 and 12 rounds), 1 was against a badly weight drained and totally shot DLH. He only has one real KO in his last 9 fights and that was against Hatton who had been displaying poor punch resistance for a couple of years by that point. So how exactly is a stoppage ratio of 44% equate to "damn near every fight" in your mind?

Cocaine and so on were invented already :). During the Duran time they had everything. Maybe they were clean for me almost all professional sportsmen take illegal enhancing drugs at one point of their careers. I don't think that Floyd is an exception

    Great thread, good research. Impressive.

    Another point:

Mayweather had his path developed carefully by his promotional team (Arum at the time). Back in the day, learning was more important than a perfect record and fighters weren't brough along as slowly. Therefore a lot of the old school fighters had a couple of early losses (or "learning experiences).

Pac didn't have a top flight promotional team building his career. He took fights for food money and learned on the job; not in the amatuers.
