If you are looking for an amateur fighter about to go pro you should look up Baltimore native Lorenzo "truck" Simpson. He's out of the same gym "Tank" from TMT is out of. He's arguably a better boxer p4p. When truck goes pro he will be a force to reckon with

Pac, Bradley, Rigo, Klitschko, Cotto, Povetkin, Pulev are on their way out, so don't bother catching up with their recent fights but focus on the new generation, who weren't at championship level 5 years ago. You're familiar with Ward, Canelo, Golovkin, Brook, and Saunders, but I'll include them, just so I can call this my list of the 25 fighters I think someone needs to follow to be a boxing fan in 2016, through probably 2020. Catch up on their past fights, then watch their future fights and you'll be as aware of the scene today as you need to be.

    Anthony Joshua
    Usyk
    Lebedev
    Ward
    Kovalev
    Beterbiev
    Degale
    Saunders
    Golovkin
    Khytrov
    Derevyanchenko
    Alvarez
    Julian Williams
    Brook
    Spence
    Crawford
    Mikey Garcia
    Lomachenko
    Walters
    Frampton
    Jonathan Guzman
    Roman Gonzalez
    Inoue
    Juan Francisco Estrada
    Nietes

I really don't think you should bother prioritising a lot of the fighters mentioned: Parker, Stevenson, Santa Cruz, Porter, Fonfara, Danny Garcia, Gilberto Ramirez, Sammy Vazquez, Luis Ortiz, many others are overrated and you want to focus on the creme de la creme. Some of todays top names in fact aren't compelling talents that will reignite your excitement for boxing and keep you as an older fan from leaving. Everyone worth checking out has probably been mentioned, now you need to move a lot of guys down if not off your list!
