I often wondered what happened to him, did he fight on much after the Thaxton fight?

Georgie Smith. He was called one of the greatest talents in modern British boxing. Lost to Derek Roche and never seen again.

Munyai went back to SA after losing over here. Poor matchmaking cost that lad, No one wanted to fight him over here. I went to see him beat Haskins and beat him he did!.

Had a chance to meet him but was busy but was told the Atomic Spider was a nice guy. He's back in SA had a few fights out there for trinkets. Holds the IBO title now but hasn't fought in 2012..

Ady Lewis didn't really disappear he was around a fair while.

Munyani was a nightmare at that weight guy was massive.

Romanov had one Yank debut cancelled after another. He looked great vs Thaxton shame he kept trying in America when it was never happening for him missed some nice Euro fights.

There's a list of Pacman sparring partners who were talked up to no end. Linares was the one to actually do something. Porter and Henry really stick in my head. Anyone under Roach at the time or Wild card the hype was insane.

Ian Millarvie, scottish 6 foot 5 heavyweight who scotlands national paper the Daily Record got behind, gave him massive coverage for a scottish boxer, sponsored him, & then nothing.

I even had his big mug in my avatar many moons ago, buzzing that Scotland might actually have a heavyweight prospect!

    I shoulda known better...

    Julio Cesar Garcia.

Was really bigged-up stateside at one point, sporting a 42-2 record at the age of only 19 years.

Dropped an MD to Troy Browning and has been win some, lose some ever since, including a stint of semi-retirement.

  10. Anyone said Roman Greenberg? Former great white hope?

Think he got to 32 or 33-0.

Obviously padding in the hope that he'd either be a titleist or get fed to a World Champ & look like credible opposition. If I remember rightly he got starched before that was anywhere near happening.

Just had a quick scope of his record on Boxrec... very very padded. Losing to Cedric Boswell isnt too bad, he challenged Povetkin for the "WBA regular" just last year.

  12. Think he got a taste of being KO'd & didn't like it one bit. Hasn't fought since.

****er was on the cover of loads of mags for ages due to being some sort of Israeli Heavyweight superstar in the making.
