Less quality trainers and less fights per year mean many fighters cannot master their crafts the way their earlier contemporaries did. They simply aren't as polished.

Perhaps because the colour line was crossed and broken, and eventually eradicated, and it was never actually something that came along "happened to boxing" - it was a reflection of a larger problem in wider society at the time that modern boxing became established.

Progress was made - the colour bar no longer exists. That's something to be celebrated. The world move forward - pro boxing moved forward.

The proliferation of titles is the opposite of progress, and is something that happened specifically within boxing, engineered by people who control boxing, with no outside influences to explain why. It's a backward move. And there's absolutely no strong opposition to it, even though everyone notes it as being ridiculous.
