If a fighter is adept at picking off shots, his opponent will try to use angles and footwork to land. Example: Winky/Solomon Some fighters rely on power and invite an opponent to trade with them by leaving themselves exposed and inviting a brawl. Example: Pavlik/Miranda Obviously, this style would be more detrimental to one's health.

No, I haven't but now I see it. Thanks for the VDO. Anyway, guys like Glen Johnson and Marvin Hagler were very strong but they both were sent to the canvas.
Chris Arreola is a bum who blocks punches with his face. Arreola uses his face like a knight would of used a shield.
Juan Manuel Lopez has no defense...none...look how quickly he fell from grace, also the late Chico Corrales used a face first type of defense...oh and Edison Miranda also let's you use his head for target practice....
Chuvalo took a lot of punishment throughout his career and blocked many punches with his face , probably more than anybody ,but was never knocked down ,he's 74 and no signs of slurred speech or trembling hands.
The nature of the sport will F with their bodies long terms, particularly those who have been hit cleaner and harder than others; as will the PED's, which the majority of athletes have abused to varied degrees.
