Jung Chang was a very poor man's version of Aaron Pryor. The real Hawk! And don't let some small flightless insect tell you different.

Yes it was common to read this in the mags of the time. Left hand low at times, long snaking jab, powerful right hand etc.

Dempsey and Tyson are very similar. I think at their bests Tyson had the better defence, and was better overall, I think Tyson's power was more natural, rather than doing the insane loading up Dempsey did.

Wilder is like Dempsey with any of the finer parts cut out for more powah!

I don't see anything wrong with the way Wilder talks. You want a heavyweight champion Who sounds like Bryant Gumble ? i Cant understand Amir Khan or Joe Calzaghe sometimes but that's my problem

Greg Page (more power), James Tillis (durable), Tyrell Biggs (mentally weak), Nino LaRocca were all poor man Ali imitators

Bonavena reminded me of a poor mans Marciano

Bert Cooper and Marvis Frazier were poor man Joe Frazier's

I always felt like Holmes was a discount Ali, Wlad was a discount Lewis, and Frazier was a discount Marciano.

Roger would never beat Hopkins, yet I think Jermaine fell apart more and wasn't as tough as Roger mentally to take the losses and go on.
