I always thought Gatti had the potential to have been an actual good boxer. Ok he ate alot of punches with his face, but he could have good head and upper body movement when he wanted to. Well the sport of boxing is built on promoters taking care of their fighters by giving them fights they should win easily on their way up. If you're not in that group and are below championship material, the only fights you typically get are fights you're supposed to lose. They're the ones that pay the best anyway.
