Yes like hatesrat pointed out aaron pryor beat alexis and he is the only fighter who you could call an atg on his resume, the same goes for frazier he beat an ali who was on a three year hisatus yes he did fight before he encountered frazier but he was still rusty, iother than that win frazier has no other fighters on his resume imo

This is not about fighters with overrated resumes its about fighters that fought weak competition that made them look better than they were and therefore those fighters arent judged accordingly when it comes to all time great lists and head to head match ups and tend to be overrated cause people only focus on how great they looked without taking into consideration who they look great against, i dont think thats the case with Smokin Joe.

Very true, and Alexis was in his 83rd pro fight, and two division over his best weight. Pryor is extremely over rated, and the "Legendary Nights" bull**** made it worse.

Another fighter who suffers under Box Rec scrutiny is Arthur Abraham. He has Miranda and Eastman. The rest of his resume is absolute garbage.

He TKO'd Chuvalo, beat Bonavena, stopped Quarry, Ellis, and KO'd Foster before he won the Fight of the Century. Frazier did damn well in the golden age of heavyweights.

Another ****ing clown post from you.

were Hopkins, McCallum and Toney turtles?

Tarver fought a shot Roy Jones, even when the old Roy did show up for a few rounds you can see he was miles faster and more skilled then Tarver ever was.

A guy that doesnt know what Floored means calling someone a clown oh my:rofl:rofl:rofl

Does your entire knowledge of the sport come from boxrec or do you actually watch any fights?

Mcallum was shot to pieces when he fought Roy only a know nothing *** like you would mention that win as some kind of great achievement.

Toney was a good win but everyone knows that Toney was pretty much dead on fight night cause of all the weight he had to lose to make 168, Roy himself said in the post fight interview with Merchant that he knew Toney had problems making weight.

Hopkins was a good win nobody here has said otherwise but did he look great against Bernard like he did against some of the cans he fought?

But people here think the guy in invincible cause they saw him knock a garbage man out with his hands behind his back or cause they saw him toying with Richard Hall or beating Pazienza like a drum and they assume he would do that to every fighter that ever fought on that weight based on how he looked against those guys when those fights show little if anything at all about how he would do against the likes of Charles,Moore,Spins,Foster etc.

I'm looking like a Roy hater on this thread when i'm actualy a fan of his i simply dont think hes superman or that hes unbeatable like some nutthuggers do.

Cervantes is a terrific name, a double HOFer and a winner of around eighteen title fights. ...Big name. Not in his prime for certain, but a big name.

Yeah and I havent lost a ban bet and been embarrassed either. Oh yeah and constantly keep switching favorite fighters because they keep getting their ass beat. Maybe you're bad luck?

Mike was far from prime but nobody, not Toney, not Kalambay, completey toyed with him like ROy did.
Excuses. Just say "its because Roy was black he doesnt get credit for beating for utterly humiliating an ATG"
He beat Hopkins one handed ***. You do the math. Imagine what a 2 handed Roy would have done to Hopkins. And thats an ATG.

Blah blah blah, im tired of reading your nonsense. Name 10 guys right now that beat Roy Jones from 160-175 in the history of the sport.

So let me guess, roy would have looked ordinary against Benn, Eubanks, collins and Darius huh lol!

Truth. The Roy hate is completely out of proportion. Old timers who barely have one ATG on their resume get all kinds of love on ESB, but Roy can fight Hopkins, Toney, McCallum, a ****ing HW in John Ruiz and plenty of other champions and titleholders, and he didn't fight anyone or challenge himself. Jones went from 160 to HW and won titles, and he didn't challenge himself, but we're all supposed to suck Manny off for fighting a WW at JrMW who just got KTFO?

Exactly, and I love Julio. But so many fighters get a pass for not really fighting anyone, just based on sheer volume of fights. But for some reason, guys like Floyd and Jones need to fight a prime ATG every fight or they're cherry picking.

Whats worse making a wrong prediction and losing a bet or this?

    http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=247278&highlight=floored

    I rest my case

Pulling the race card the act of a desperate man with no arguments left, pathetic.

He would've won a decision just like he did he surely wouldnt look like he did against Pazienza,Hall and opponents of that ilk, but who knows what would've happened we only know what happened and that was a boring decision win over a green Hops in a fight where both didnt look good.

    What for?

You already have your mind made up that he beats everyone so why waste my time naming anyone, its pointless.

Who said anything about him looking ordinary?

Nobody knows how he would look against those guys cause he never fought them but i'm not gonna come here and and say with certainty that he would look as good as he did against the likes of Pazienza,Brannon,Frazier,Telesco etc or that he would look average like he did against Griffin in their first fight or against Harding that would be nothing more than guessing, but feel free to argue yourself silly like you did with the all "floored" debacle.

Thats funny, not related to boxing. You however getting constantly schooled in boxing is funny. Not because you dont know boxing but because you are a pathetic hater.

Jones completely schools an ATG, and you bring up weight. When Mayweather schools Pacquiao are you gonna bring up his socks, and gloves too?

Sorry I dont believe in making excuses to why a fighter wins or loses. Scrubs do that. No fighter is 100% before a fight. And the way Jones made toney look he could have been 150% and he still gets schooled.

He didnt look good becuase he was fighting one handed dumbass. Thats how superior athletically to any scrub you idolize today. He could beat an ATG one handed. Green Hopkins? He had more fights then Jones.
Because you cant name 10. At best you can name maybe 4 who'd beat him. And even then Jones would be 50/50 in every bout. No fighter ever takes a prime Roy out.

You're just a dumbass hater, and you can see how indecisive you are. If you were truly a man of your convictions and think Roy fought bums, and only looked good against scrubs you'd be more certain in defending your beliefs. I can point out every guy Margarito and Cotto looked bad against, and how they're lack of skill would stack up to real greats. You cant do that with Jones. Becuase he was for all intents and purposes perhaps the most athletically gifted fighter ever and amazingly skilled to boot.

So go on and talk **** clown. Roy still destroys your favorite fighters favorite fighter with his awesome blackness.
