No point making a thread like this on a lunatic deluded Wildette forum. There's an astonishing lack of IQ here
I do not rank AJ as a Frank Bruno. However the poor man’s Klitschko comment taken in context has some validity. Looking at Wlad circa 2003-4 is where AJ is today, with arguably slightly better skills (effective uppercut and better footwork). AJ can bounce back and have a long career if he takes the Kronk ‘super heavyweight’ route and perfect his jab. AJ does not have the chin or the reflexes for inside boxing (yes he has the uppercut, but why do this with all of his physical advantages?) Disagree with Roach that he needs to go back to the basics from his Olympic time. Roach is not the trainer for AJ. Would advise seeking out someone like Banks or even team Klitschko to best resurrect the Steward playbook. Is this enough to get past the awkward styles of Fury and Wilder? Agree it is 50/50 if they fight in the UK.
Everyone overrates their fighters. Mike Tyson, for example, is one of the biggest hypejobs in the sport beating trash cans left right and centre. They're trying to do this job on Wilder now... Canelo is also, beating past it/aged fighters (and robbing)..
And here we have it...deluded or a troll, whatever it may be, those loose hole ridden opinions won't change no matter how many facts we put in front of you.
I would imagine that Fury should be a 60/40 type favorite over AJ. Next I would put Ruiz as a, round for round, worst matchup for AJ. I have that around 55/45 for Ruiz. People forget that AJ floored Ruiz pretty good, and that the reason he got caught was he was trying to finish Ruiz off. If hes not mentally done for, in the rematch if he stays composed, fights tall, and doesnt try to Mike Tyson him in there, he still has a good chance in the rematch. So I have that 55/45 for Ruiz. Thats where it ends, imo. I think AJ and Wilder is a 50/50 type fight. I favor AJ to win the rounds, but hes so susceptible to Wilders power and onslaught that it makes it pretty impossible to call. You have to think that, unless AJ gets Wilder out of there first, which is absolutely realistic, that at some point Wilders power will change the fight in his favor. So, considering I think AJ wins the fight in between knockdowns, and that hes almost as likely to finish Wilder as Wilder is him, I have that 50/50. I have Parker 55/45 for AJ. I have Usyk 55/45 for AJ. Whyte I have at 60/40 for AJ Current Ortiz I have at 70/30 .... And Millers not even worth mentioning. Thats a showcase fight for AJ.
Yeah GGG was 100% avoided - GGG and Wilder situations are not comparable. It's clear as day WBC and Haymon are out in full protection for Wildette - the fact is 40 fights in and he has yet to fight a young hungry prime fighter in the top 15. And he won't until Haymon decides to cash him in, unfortunately this has come when Wilder is approaching his mid30s. Unfortunately all these ***** promoters like waiting out the big fights until there mid 30s conning everyone in the meantime.
Yes, that fight exposed serious flaws in him as well. He's lucky he's a HW and that right hand will bail him out a lot of times.
AJ beat Wlad Povetkin Whyte Parker Takam Martin You can include Breazeale and Molina too, if you really want to scrape the barrel that is Granted it was a way past his best 41 y/o Wlad and a way past his best 39 y/o Povetkin but that Wlad and that Povetkin would've sparked out Bum Squad and Whyte and Parker would stand a good chance of beating Bum Squad if the later could someday somehow manage to summon the courage to stop running in the opposite direction of Whyte at 1000 mph that is, and Takam would stand a decent chance too. AJ's resume am and pro shits all over Bum Squad's and he's fought way more punchers than him too, both am and pro.
