I remember when Mike Dokes made a return to the ring around 1990 he got himself in great shape and beat a few decent prospects at the time.. ie: James Pritchard, Wesley Watson ... I spoke to him and his manager Marty Cohen in Miami florida, Dokes was very open about his past , he told me that he just had no option but to either change or die.. he went down as low as 190 lb's and then as high as 248lbs.. he said that he was buying Kilo's rather than ounces of that ****...........

It's always intensly pissed me off, that story. Joe hung around with one or two really seedy women in his time.
I know one shot doesn't make you an addict, but holy **** - at least give the man a choice as to whether he wants the stuff or not. Injecting him in his sleep is pure evil.

The Ray Leonard 'rumour' isn't a rumour at all - he came clean and admitted to using drugs (I forget whether it was heroin or cocain) for a number of years in a press conference, not long after the loss to Terry Norris.

why McGrain, It's like it's new news. All sports have been contaminated by the need to use performance enhancing drugs, and the need to either party or kill the pain the other drugs.

Is it the fact that all right and wrong, and idols have fallen?

Michael Dokes came darn close to dying. Henry Armstrong also had a nasty dependence on alchohol.
