I saw a thread a while with people saying Hopkins goes the distance with Foster.

The same as the number of people who could win every single round against Thomas Hearns.

Hypothetically, you would need an extreme puncher who was also aggressively minded. They would then have to somehow land flush on a cold Hopkins extremely early before following up, or score a discombobulating KO. You would need a fighter like SRR, Eduardo Lausse etc totally at their peak and blessed by lady luck for a 1 round scenario.

Hardly anyone stops him, never mind 1 round.

Anyone could potentially do it, just like Lopez could potentially KO Mike Tyson.

    Is it likely? Obviously not.

I can’t think of anyone who’d win three or four of 15 against a prime 147lb Hitman.

Quite possibly no fighter who has ever lived, and if anybody can, it is probably based on a big weight disparity.

I would bet on anyone in his weightclass. He was to smart, defensively sound and tough. I only recall seeing him truly hurt against Mercardo fairly early in his career when he was more of a banger and when he was 50 against Joe Smith. Not saying he couldn't get caught but I wouldn't bet on it.
