I give you an example: Herbie Hide, a fighter who could have never be a great fighter because of his shaky chin, but he had/ has the mixture of power, foot- and handspeed who can beat some ATG´s with chin problems like Patterson, Norton, or now the best fighter of today Wladimir Klitschko if he lands at first some bombs. Give me some more examples...

Shavers though against Atg's he'd have a very thin chance

Why? He had very good power, was very fast on his feet and had pretty nasty handspeed, all that abilities for a HW are a big advantage. Of course, with his chin made of egg it would be implausible, because a fighter of the calibre from a ATG like I wrote had the power to KO him quickly, but if Hide lands at first some bombs, I can easily see beating him Wlad for example...

btw, it wasn´t my question how good or bad my example was...

Yeah, Hide's underrated. Definitely not a great but he had scary, scary power.

Just look at what he did vs. Bowe. Hide's not a natural heavyweight by any stretch of the imagination and he had Bowe out on his feet.

Bowe had a rediculous chin, too.
