    Martin ultimate lucky guy.

Got a title shot with a horrible resume.
Against "No powah, I got the judges fixed" Glazkov, and then Glazkov had an unlucky landing on the canvas and ended up with a destroyed knee, that slow-mo was painful to watch.

Douglas/Holyfield ... easiest win of Evander's resume, easiest payday of Buster's.

Bit harsh on Bruno. He was never the best boxer but, as Colin Hart said to an American after Tyson-Seldon, "at least our guy took his lumps."

Seldon was knocked out to the point where his legs gave way and his eyes glazed from a punch that missed! He is the epitome of this thread.

I meant the second one, sorry for not specifying that.

I truly think he just showed up for a check the second time around.

Well he took a pasting and finished on his feet so there have been many more shameless cases of taking the money and running.

A couple that come to mind:
Liston-Machen 1960. To Eddie's credit what was he going to do?
But the one that takes the cake IMO, is Bugner's effort in his title shot against Ali in 75!
In their first fight a couple of years earlier Joe gave a game "I wanna win" effort. In the title shot?...
...one BIG p u s s who had the size and skills to make a big showing, holding, getting hit and bringing absolutely nothing to the table that night other than wanting to survive. He had to know that Ali wasn't going to stop him. Pathetic POS performance.

No need to apologise, I knew you meant the second one, and you're 100% right, Frank seemed terrified in there that night!
