Prince Naseem was completely destroyed by it.
He had a big, big ego and once he lost his first fight that ego was gone and all he had to fall back on was his self confidence and self worth which wasn't very high as it turns out.
    God I miss him though

Agreed, he won his next fight over a very good opponent and while ruining his shoulder, how can anyone say he didnt have heart at that point I dont know. He did good in the Typsko fight immediately after calzaghe but went down hill rapidly after the typsko fight when he had to have shoulder surgery. For me this points it to being more physical than mental.

    Same here.

He was so devastated, I didn't expect him to have the success he did later on.

Taylor still had more success after his first loss than a lot of other fighters who never recovered after their first L.

Hamed definitely. It killed him to lose.

Someone mentioned Davey Moore...nah, he was just so brutalized that night it ruined him as a fighter.

Cant argue with this, also seen Jones Jnr's first defeat suggested which is a good shout!
