I remember that fight. And I will be honest, I was impressed how he came back and won a decision against Brown.
Esteban DeJesus and Angel Espada. Both were beautiful boxers, but they were also both explosive counter-punchers. Espada traversed the line fairly well, primarily boxing but then that overhand right would come out of nowhere and lay the opponent out. He was far too brave and in love with the wallop and probably taking his opponent lightly in the first fight with Cuevas and paid the price. The other two fights he pulled every trick out of his bag and traversed the line well but Cuevas had too much those nights. So, all in all, he didn't let loose too many times while waiting to setup, he sort of kept the power in check. I added him more on the basis of the first Cuevas fight when he should have been boxing. DeJesus on the other hand, also knew he could crack and I remember his fight with Buzzsaw Yamabe where he dispensed with the niceties and just went in slugging. He didn't pay any price that night, but he could have looked better setting up the Japanese. I think the knockdowns of Duran were in his mind after that.
Fair enough my bad, did not realise. Wilder is really in love with his power... he talks about it poetically. I dun broke bones and metal in my hand, I dun made people have sea-joores. This content is protected
Juan Manuel Lopez used to be a pretty decent boxer puncher before he became overly reliant on his power and became nothing but a plodding power punching brawler. Juanma really fell off since losing to Salido twice and then getting KO'd by Garcia.
