Because they are reaching for similarities....there are some traits they share but in reality there is no similar fighter Paq has some elements of Duran but his success is his speed of foot, hands good power and movements noone can time consistently. But a different fight than Duran in the slickness and skills. Loma only resembles Paq in being left handed and tempo he resembles SPW, Locche and Pep in feet and defense and Duran in skill and cruelty but he is one of a kind....the fighters they are comparing are one of a kind talents just like Duran, Greb, SRR, Ali noone has the physical attributes to even mimick these talents....only until Ali got older and slow could imitators compare

I'd compare Wilder's lack of skill and reliance on physicality to Freddie Mills. I've never seen two more uncoordinated physical freaks who couldn't box a lick. Even Marciano and Rungvisai had a little skill to go with their brute power, stamina, and endurance.

 

Comparing lomas defense to locches and cruelty to Duran are two of the biggest stretches in this thread
