He beat james, but he didnt steal his soul. Look at what Nard did to Kelly...THAT is soul snatching. James came back and disposed of Tapia and Angulo.

Porter fought Brook like he did Paulie. Only difference is, Brook was there to box, and Paulie was there to take a beating. He got outsmarted, and it would have been a MUCH closer fight had he realized Kel had trained for EXACTLY what Porter kept on doing, and switched to boxing him.
I cant remember the exact rounds (I think 8/9), but in 2 rounds of the fight Porter goes back to boxing and takes those rounds....Then goes back to trying his best Tyson impression :patsch:patsch:patsch

even more emphasis on him folding then, he had it all going against a midget opponent.

I have to disagree with this.

Tucker and Tillis stood up to Tyson and he won those fights. The problem for Tyson in Tokyo was that his lackadaisical training habits blew up in his face. He would go on to beat Ruddock twice who was also not intimidated by him

Tucker and Tillis didnt stand up to him, they did enough to survive him. Big difference.

How did they do enough to just survive him? The Tillis fight was close . Tyson deserved to win tat fight by 2 rounds at most

Tucker was giving Tyson a lot of trouble before injured his hand

i'm going to get into an argument over this as im just finished training and am destroyed

however a lot of people here don't understand the nature of the injury and the effects that boxing with a torn rotator cuff muscle can have, basically if vitali did have a torn rotator cuff muscle than he did the right thing by stopping the fight as fighting on could have ended his career

Tyson beat Tucker by scores of 11-1, 10-2 and 9-3. How was he giving him trouble?!?

he may not have physically folded but he was beaten rather convincingly and could not alter his game plan in a fight that could have been within his reach had he fought smarter. he mentally folded.

Mike Tyson. Douglas mom had just passed away (common knowledge I know)) and he was not intimidated by Iron Mike. Exposed him as not being effective going backwards. The blue print was finally drawn on how to beat him IF you can pull it off as Holyfield, Lewis, Williams and the great McBride did.

Of course Tyson quit on his stool against McBride without injury forcing him to do so and we all know Tyson at age 38 was washed up like all other Heavyweights are at that age right?:!::hi:

Name one heavyweight, just one, who was behind their prime at 38 and I'll leave you alone.

Depends on how you define "prime".
Do think Wladimir was a better boxer at 28 or 38?
