How about Duane Bobick (38-0) against Ken Norton?

he barely outscored Tarver and when people questioned why he struggled against Antonio in first fight, he made excuses about how difficult it was to gain weight to fight as heavyweight and then lose it.

Remember when Tarver called him out on the microphone at the beginning of the 2nd fight 'YOU HAVE ANY EXCUSES TODAY ROY', then he KO'd his ****..embarrassing and perfect example of of someone folding

Roy folded the very first time someone stood up to him...

The Klitscko ****ogy is way off base as Klitschko was never beaten. He pretty much won all 9 rounds and was giving Chris Byrd a boxing lesson before he quit due to a shoulder injury. How can we call this folding? he was also winning on points against Lewis before cut ended fight.

uh huh, and can you please tell me where you found the 50-1 odds. because that match does not even rank as one of the top 10 biggest upsets in womens tennis

didn't find them anywhere, that's what they were, on betfair, i was betting and watching live.

42/1 is more than a 2% chance of an upset, there are hundreds of sports events each week, it is statistically improbable that no odds equal to or above 42/1 lost in the last 25 years, but that is irrelevant as ive provided you with an example.

ok, i stand corrected.. that fight still is considered by most in the sports world as the biggest upset in sports history. would it make it better for you if i said most shocking?

biggest upset/shock in hw title fight history is a fair name imo. I don't think it belongs in this thread though, tyson was underprepared and douglas was fantastic(bar the kd, but he got up) and tyson took a lot of shots before he went.

couldn't comment on wether it is the biggest shock ever as i was a kid when it happened, considering how tyson seems to have been viewed as invincible by some it may well have been the biggest shock ever to them.

not sure why it wouldnt belong in a thread about a fighter folding when he was stood upto considering Tyson's intimidating tactics and aura of invicibilty were a major part of what he was, the fact that he was ill prepared is irrelevant in that, that was his bad. thinking that all he had to do was hit the guy and it'd be over. True Douglas fight a great and perfect fight the night, but the tools he possessed were no better than that of a Berbick or Tony Tucker, the biggest factor was that he went in there to win, and refused to be intimidated by Mike, hence standing up to the bully. He was the 1st to do so with Mike, and the end result was........... And he wasnt seen as invicible by some, at the time, he was considered to be the most feared prizefighter by almost all. Like him or hate him, everyone respected and feared the man. And I assure you if you wouldnt deem it as the biggest upset in the history of at least boxing history. You would be the 1st, and probably only.

that's fair enough, i just don't think getting punched in the face for 9 rounds counts as 'folding like a lawn chair', he never stopped trying to win, and was trying to get up at the finish.

Then what would you consider. Just asking, because if you look I'm not the only in this thread who thought so. In fact i haven't counted, but i believe that was the fight that got the most mentions.
