Shoji Oguma against Chan-hee Park in their third fight. Oguma's face was a mess by the halfway point. He ended up dominating the late rounds and taking a decision.

This was the first one that popped into my head, probably because it's one of the most celebrated and often discussed ring wars of all time.

Against London in 1959. He was supposed to challenge Patterson for the title if he won, but the cuts were so bad that he couldn't make the fight in time (it was scheduled to take place shortly before the fight with Ingo). Instead London got the shot.

    Excellent info.

I know they eventually fought later but a shame Henry didn’t get a tilt at Patterson while Floyd still had the title in hand.

Personally I think contender Floyd was an improved fighter by the time he met Henry in 1966.

yep this is the one I thought of

Should have been stopped in the mid rounds as Chacon's face was a mask of blood

O’Grady-Fukuyama is the worst I’ve seen. Sean looked like Carrie at the prom with the pig blood.

Saad fought through a cut to beat Marvin Johnson for the title in the rematch.

SRR regained the title in the Turpin rematch fighting through a bad cut.

Holyfield suffered a bad cut from Holmes. Holmes threw a right hand and his elbow caught Evander.

Holyfield also suffered a bad one against Mercer

Michalczewski against Hall in that rematch. Both eyes busted up badly in the first round. But Dariusz did not alter his game and came out with the W. Great corner work by Sdunek to keep him in the fight too!!
