this is a pretty good question- off the top of my head most recently i have to say jean pascal...he came over to england to fight froch and gave it hes all.
lets not forget...he boxed pretty well too after the initial storm...i dunno maybe cotto took his foot off the pedal a bit...but paulie lost a card 115-112 with a knockdown....really expected better things from paulie after the first ndou fight....too bad...
David Diaz vs pacquiao. He was outmatch in eveything but he kept going until he got knockout. Arturo Gatti is also one i have a lot of respect for. I love watching him fight win or lose he always gives his best.
you people dont know what a losing effort is most of the fights mentioned here, the loser had a good shot of winning the fight, and some the decision could of gone to the other guy without controversy Berto/Collazo, Kotelnik/Maidana a perfect example would be Malinaggi/Cotto, there was no way Pauli was going to win that fight after the 5th but made a valiant showing by winning the second half.
from the past couple of years, it torres-cotto is a good shout. torres took the fight at short notice as a late replacement, then proceeds to give us a hell of a fight.
Good Call, Wayne McCullough get's respect in all his losing effort's, Because he is a walk forward, never back down Warrior with Balls of Steel and an Iron Chin. One of the saddest sights i ever saw was when the doctor called it of in the second Larios fight handing him the first stoppage defeat of his pro career.
