The one that sticks in my mind is James Salerno losing twice to a journeyman named Leon "Nightlife" McDonald. Seeing Salerno box Prince Charles Williams' ears off in the only footage out there a few years later makes you wonder what in the world happened with this barely .500 clubfighter having Salerno's number.

The ultimate example might be Cocoa Kid over Holman Williams, but no film makes it tricksy.

Perhaps with superior fighters, thinking of a better gameplan would work to pick shots better or in some cases be more aggressive. With Hearns and Barkley Hearns had the right game plan in 1992, he just got too much into punching the head when I think the key to breaking down Barkley was to the body.. Those lefts to the body really hurt Barkley. Incidentally I was watching some fights over the weekend. Barkley vs. Kinchen is on youtube, and I watched Leonard vs. Kalule, which is an action fight. Another interesting one was Leonard vs. Geraldo... He had a tough time getting to Marcos.
