For a single reason, whether it was a fluke or a one time, motivational iron will.

Corrie Sanders vs. Vitali comes to mind.

Stopped on his feet, but took disgusting abuse up until that point.

He's been KO'ed in one by medicore punchers multiple times throughout his career besides that.

    Eh?

Aaron Pryor, he was capable of being flash knocked down but against Arguello, probably the hardest hitter he faced in his career he took more shots then normal and wasn't going anywhere. Just that will to win (and a special bottle)

Pryor was knocked down before that as well.

    Off balance at times.

Morrison and Foreman - Tommy's chin was pure china normally and at any point where Big George lands you think it will be over

Well If Tommy fought George the way he usually fights then he'd probably get stopped. Morrison did his FloydPattersonPernellWhitker impression to "dance" and box his way to victory.

At the same time, he took some heavy flush shots from George.
That booming right in the 3rd and several in the 12th spring to mind, and there were others. But Tommy wasn't fazed that night.

I agree to a point, in that he did decide to box and not just slug, because he probably realised that with his chin and Big G's power it would be over in a few punches. Dont forget the 3rd or 4th round either, Morrison took some extremely heavy flush power shots that would normally have sent him into a deep sleep. Either way, he looked a different fighter imo, had a focus about him :good
