A number of HW champs of course. Like mentioned, Lewis, Ali and the Klit bros, but also Bowe, Buddy Bear and even Joe Louis.
I'm surprised Sugar Nikolai Valuev hasn't been mentioned. He outweighed several of his opponents by more than 100 pounds.
Yes, special reverence should be paid to SNV, the one and true GOAT:bowdown Valuev>Ruiz>Holyfield>Tyson>Holmes>Ali http://www.boxingforum24.com/showthread.php?t=513929 [YT]TuKzo2-N17o[/YT]
Corrales Viloria Danny Garcia Mikey Garcia Salido Broner Hopkins Trinidad Mosley was huge for a lightweight, infact he admited that hes a natural welter but fought at lightweight. The list goes on and one yet poor little nonito is the only fighter constantly getting **** for cutting weight in his career. Worst part is that the criticism is almost always from Floyd fans, like wtf what does nonito have to do with Pac LOL.
Corrales is a good call. Most of his opponents were about three or four inches shorter. Throw Sandy Saddler in there too. The guy has the dimensions of a welterweight but he's beating up featherweights.
Guys only have a "size advantage" is they're unpopular. Ifb they're fighting an unpopular guy, they're "weight drained"
Danny Garcia...looks like a big 140lber. Even when Khan fought him, although Khan had the height Danny looked much stronger and accomodated to the weight class
I think he looked average in the Molina fight and really good in spots during the Taylor fight. He has potential because he definitely made a good scrap with Taylor.
Has it occurred to you that Ali is blown up heavyweight who started his career at light heavyweight. Check some of Ali's earliest fight and tale me if he himself always weight above 200lbs. Ali had size advantage over some of his opponents but nothing close to the size advantage Lennox Lewis and the Klitschko sister had over their opponents. When you consider the fact that many of the guys Klitschko is fighting are not naturally big but just caring too much fact then you begin to get the picture. Sam Peter, Kirk Johnson, Alex Povetkin, and Chris Arreola are not big heavyweights. They just a bunch of undisciplined ****s caring too much Blubber.:hi:
Pavlik is a good one. He was about 6'2" which is a really big MW. Same goes for Paul Wlliams. No way that guy was 6'1", I hear they listed himd at that to make him seem more appealing for fighter. He had to be 6'2" or 6'3" as a flipping WW.
