Fighters who hated boxing

    Have any fighters come out and say that they hated boxing. Most fighters seem to love it

    James J Jeffries, when talking about a punch Joe Choynski landed on him:

    "That was the hardest punch I even took and had it landed a little lower I would have been knocked out for the first time in my life. There is no question that i would have quit fighting then and there. You see, back in those days I fought without interest and actually searched for an excuse to hang 'em up"

    Not to mention he went into retirement after a brief 4 year title reign despite still being in his physical prime. To go farm no less, and completely quit doing boxing training.

    Methinks the man didnt quite enjoy it that much

    More recently, Adrien Broner has a Stockholm syndrome for boxing

    Mike Tyson, Such a naturally gifted fighter, but never seemed happy during his boxing career. Now in retirement he seems much happier, content, and peaceful.

    I don't believe that to be honest. Why would he box so long against great and good opponents (other than money)?

    There was a lot of talk of him losing interest before the Corbett rematch, but his reign was better tgan any others pre-Joe Louis

    Imo Sullivan's was better simply for the longevity and dominance even if he didn't fight Peter Jackson, which he should've

    I remember Manny Steward once saying that Michael Moorer didn't like boxing.

    UFC all time great, Georges St-Pierre hated fighting and admitted it scared him and the worry made him ill
