what i mean by a mayorga, is sticking their head/chin out for free punches.... but failed in the process.. the one that comes to mind is Winky against Mosley... Pavlik in a way against taylor (didnt totally stick his head out there but did stick his tounge out and let himself get punched a bit.... lol) and awhile ago... years maybe... i remember this guy on like an espn fight maybe, who put his hands down.... trying to act badass... and the guy landed a punch and knocked him out... lol. any others... videos? gifs?
http://youtube.com/watch?v=zq9Xs8BeRuQ Nate Campbell against Robbie Peden. I hate watching this, because I like Nate.
Yeah, the Nate Campbell one is the best example. I don't understand why boxers feel the need to do this. All it takes is one punch and you're counting stars.
How about a thread for fans that had a "Mayorga" and t resulted in food poisioning? Class action lawsuit??:huh Sorry, hate the Nicaraguan Shame and wish that he gets lumped every time. If he aint fighting a name at 54? I aint interested and wont watch. Though I'm afraid I'll have to make a selection on the fighter I hate most in boxing. Thats quite a statement considering Floyd's around
yeah that Winky one was funny, as Mosley unleashed a couple of shots with bad intentions and Winky looked very awkward when he was trying to look cool. He almost got Nate Campbelled. I think Lewis took a coulle of shots from Briggs with his arms down, then immediately knocked Briggs down.
Didn't Lewis drop his hands against Rahman, start smiling and get knocked out? Not quite Mayorga style, but close.

he did but that becuase shane tore into him later on ...the actual punch in question was actually well took. you could see how he leaned over slightly like he had stiffined but just smiles whenm he finds he didnt get shook atsch stupid move did nothign for his point win attitude
