    The irony is that Manny is known for teaching his super-heavies (LL & Wlad) safety-first fighting styles but his smaller fighters had some costly defensive flaws (i.e. McCrory and Hearns keeping their lefts too low).

    I thought Abdullaev was on his way to being a real good fighter with the possibility of having an excellant career. Great? no. Then again I sure don't throw that term around like other folks do.

    But I thought the guy had the makings of a real good and solid champion. Man, did that go downhill overnight. Penny stock status in 45 minutes. What a tough sport. Speaking of which that's another boxing trait---ability to absorb a loss. Or a bad loss. I thought an Abdullaev could handle it. Like lots of others, he could not.
