Maybe Bob Fitzsimmons going from heavyweight to the newly created light heavyweight division while kinda, sorta dropping a pound or two.

I figure there’s a good many light heavyweights who tried their luck at heavy before finding success at 175 (and who also ventured back into the heavyweight ranks for bigger paydays from time to time). Especially true I’m sure in the days when a lot of heavyweights weighed in the 180s.

Likewise with some cruisers in more modern times.

Murray Sutherland won the first (vacant) super middleweight title after two unsuccessful tries at light heavy against Matthew Saad Muhammad and Michael Spinks.

Henry Armstrong went from 126 to 147 then back down to 135 during his historic career. Hearns also went up and down a few different times. Bhop's first career fight whichbhe lost was at light-heavyweight. He then moved to 160 and had more title defences than anyone ever.

He weighed basically 135 the whole time as he moved from welter to light.

the Scot, Tancy Lee was a 'bigger' man than he fought at,

he was ahead of his time and capitalized on it, while damn near EVERY Fighter back then fought In & Above their Natural Weight, Lee fought down...

In women's boxing, there is a famous example - Amanda Serrano.

    Here is her title history:

    (!!!).

I have not seen anything crazier than this. She won her first title at jr. lightweight, then moved up to lightweight, went all the way down to bantamweight collecting a WBO title along the way, then suddenly jumped FIVE weight classes to win at jr. welterweight, then jumped SIX weight classes down to jr. bantamweight before moving up THREE divisions to settle at featherweight.

There’s a difference between moving down in weight and just getting in shape.

Much of the time LaMotta ‘went down’ from the mid-160s to closer to 160/161 was when he was fighting welterweights giving up 8, 10 pounds and more.
