all the greats have been to war at one point or anther

i will start with Mayweather he as never been to war in all of his career which makes me doubt his chin could he packing some seouis glass?

i read a article once where mayweather wanted to be a offensive fighter growing up but found out his chin did not have the iron to last long so his daddy told him to be a defensive fighter

does he not trust his chin to hold up?

Its up gto the other fighter to draw a guy into a war.

If the opponent isnt good enough to make him get into a war, thats his opponents fault.

Why should skilled, elusive fighters fight the other guys fight?

LOL! Of course you will start with Mayweather. You will end with Mayweather too. Your obsession with him is kind of sad.

did lenord go to war with duran in the second fight or did he box him smart?

point is no matter how good a opponent is if a fighters sole purpose is to run and avoid getting hit its not easy

    Tough ****.

    Thats the other guys problem.

Its like Paulie Maliganggi said, if everybody could fight elusive, they would.
Dont blame the elusive guy forhis opponent being too slow and crude.

    Yes.

Obviously if he isnt being offensive aswell, he'll lose.

Exactly! If you're good enough to outbox your opponent and fight your fight most of the time then why should you be bashed for that? That's called ring generalship.:deal With that said he has fought other people's fight to an extent examples Hatton, Cotto, Augustus Maidana 1 and Chavez.

He hurt his hand early in the fight and still shut him out. What more do you want?

Rarely, only if the other opponent is absolutely hopeless.

    Also, why do you care?

Why dont you make a thread about what fighters havent put on a boxing masterclass in their lives?

No body gets into a war if they're good enough to avoid it, and if they do, they're idiots.

Guys like Provo/Matthyse etc CANT fight elusively, so they have to trudge forward and try to amke the fight a war.
