Fighters like Oscar de la Hoya, Vitali Klitschko, Hasim Rahman, Miguel Cotto, Sam Peter, O'Neil Bell, Paulie Malignaggi.....

Case in point, Oscars recent quitjob against Pac. After shamelessly fleasing us of ridiculous ppv money, he put on the worst performance I have seen from a top fighter since I've been watching boxing then he quit, against a fighter about 20 weight classes lower than him. Oscar is now going to be remembered by one of the worst quit jobs in boxing history, instead of a great fighter who constantly sought to fight the best.

They make their massive paydays during this dreadfull economical time from us, the fans. We pay to see boxing, not to see fighters quit.

Maybe it was an injury, but actually he still punched with the injured hand. To me it looked more that he was frustrated, cause he couldn´t catch Byrd clean and Byrd was getting better with every round. Maybe a combination of beeing hurt and frustrated. Nevertheless he didn´t show the same heart he showed in his fight with Lennox. Remember Danny Williams. He fought Mark Potter with dislocated shoulder and that wasn´t even for a world title.

first off, vitali tore his rotator cuff, he didnt injure his hand. and he was catching byrd clean, for 9 whole rounds. if vitali stayed in the fight and ran the rest of the way, loosing the remaining rounds, he still would have won. so none of this byrd was making a comeback mess.

Omg ***** you cannot be serious :-(... did you even watch the fight? You act as if the ***** didnt give his all..

I understand if a ***** looks like he took a dive in the first round or somthing and didnt even look hurt but your mentioning some cases were the fighters had already given thier all and had nothing left. What do you expect? The fighter to die in the ring??

Paulie Malignagi never quit a fight idiot. His CORNER stoped the fight because he was taking to much punishment and Paulie was Pist about it because he wanted to keep going.

Why would Paulies Purse be withheld?
