yes he certainly is but i feel he is better than SRR or Charles or Armstrong on film

Laguna is a good pick i love watchiong him

Walcott is sly as **** and a proper fighters fighter

Whittaker and Duran are guys who massivly impress me also Whittaker is just below Pep for me in terms of pure boxing

great picks ill get round to watching some Ross that you sent me im nearly done your batch.

Leonard is a great pick just watching him against Tendler just now hes amazing

    good picks

Ralph Dupas is one fighter I really wish there was more footage of.... such a quick and clever boxer he was and he had such a beautiful style of boxing, its a pleasure to watch this man ply his trade.

Ike Williams has allways impressed me ,a Joe Louis in minature.
    Eder Jofre, very complete
    Carlos Ortiz had it all.
Jim Driscoll, rapier left hand and a quick jolting right.
What footage there is of Benny Leonard reveals some of his skill.
Saddler looks pretty frightening on film.
Pep is a given, he is like a humming bird around a flower, the way he pecks and pokes before gliding away.
Arguello so correct a hitter, you can forgive him his slow feet.
Ray Leonard was very rounded and a great finisher.
Ricardo Lopez , no faults really.
Sanchez ,great poise, the phrase, sang froid ,could have been invented for him.
Jack Delaney another version of Tunney.
Allways liked to watch Buddy McGirt too.

Speaking of Tendler, I add him to my list also. I feel had Benny Leonard NOT been around, we be speaking of Lew as a great fighter.

I didnt have it a outclass, I did a round by round, before the crash, a few years ago.

Belive I had Leonard ahead by 3 rounds, which is the way to score fights of the era. The round system. But this was a ND bout. But had it been score, the round system would have been in used.

Ike Quartey for his jab alone, so much power and accuracy.

Disagree on Laguna, I think he was a show boat.

Ortiz was out of shape for that fight ,look at the rematch if you want a true line on Laguna.
ps There was speculation that he retired as Duran was coming up to avoid a meeting
