I have derived many hours of pleasure from watching Nicolino Locche pick apart Paul Fuji. Locche-Fuji is high quality footage which really shows the subtleties and nuances of Locche's craft.

Watching Tyrone "Butterfly" Crawley school Rockin' Robin Blake over ten rounds in Blake's hometown was a treat. Blake was much the taller, longer armed and harder punching participant, yet Crawley stood right in front of him and decisively outscored Blake by hitting without getting hit in return. A superb masterpiece of boxing skill, and none of Blake's partisan crown disputed that Crawley was the decisive winner.

The sight of a shorter, smaller, lighter punching boxer getting much the better of a more imposing physical force by standing before him without resorting to much in the way of lateral movement has always been something I've been tremendously impressed by. (Imagine Benitez outboxing Hearns like that in mid ring.) Although he didn't win, I felt that Vilomar Fernandez aquitted himself very well against Hilmer Kenty.

Joey Archer has impressed me. It sometimes seemed that his jab was laser guided to his target.

Dempsey's mobility over the first minute and a half against Willard can also be a revelation for anybody who thinks of Jack strictly as a wild swarming brawler.

Miguel Canto has left me with a favorable impression (although it's been many years since I last viewed Canto footage).

Another fighter I get a kick out of watching is Holley Mims, what a cagey and clever boxer this guy was, his record really doesn`t do the man justice as far as reflecting his abilitys as a fighter.

Took a few viewings, and the more I watch it the closer it is.
Tendler stagger Benny a few times in the fight, trap him on the ropes and pound away, other rounds, it was Benny on his back foot, jabbing and showing why people consider Benny pound for pound for his era.

Over all it was a close close fight, When Leonard won his rounds, he won them BIG, Tendler didnt relly win his rounds big outside the round were he stagger Benny.

    I'll second this, RB.
The fight with Giardello is one of my favorites. Two seasoned pros going at it...The fight with Mims and Archer that you recently sent me is a great fight too.
I wonder if there is footage of Mims' fight with Dick Tiger? that would be interesting to check out.

Anyone mention a prime Curry yet?

Hoya looks amazing at certain times of his career.

Laguna tried to win ,no doubt but even with some questionable tactics Buchanan was too good for him, in spite of combating the PR heat the Scot outgamed him. .What I mean by show boat is that he had a flashy style and fast hands that gave the impression he was better than he really was.imo.

You've made a good point mate... Who actually looked good in the ring with Johnson anyway?? I think Johnson made himself look a little average also. Carrying 'bunnies' for the sake of film/audience and promotors happiness.

he did have quite a flashy style but watch his picking apart of Ramos. Now that was style and substance. And against Ken he really did try but Ken was a gritty ******* and came through

you looking to buy it, thought you ignored 'collecters' :good
