Curry always comes to mind. Bramble also. Same era and almost same timing. They both lost big the same weekend I think. Curry was more legit, he earned his ranking defending his title, Bramble won his by beating Mancini, and I think he was overrated a bit by beating Mancini. I like Livingstone, but objectively he was not as good as it seemed when he beat Mancini and defended against Crawley.

eric aiken - ends tim austin's career with a brutal KO then in the next fight after wins the ibf featherweight title from valdemir perera by DQ in a fight where he was leading on all cards and scored 2 knockdowns..was ranked high as 3 or 4 i think...drops the title to guerrero and hasn't won a fight since

  5. Ebo Elder. Got a good win against Oscar Diaz, then a dramatic FOY type fight with Courtney Burton... but was never the same after that fight and kept gettin KOd.

He had me rootin for him for like 8 months

    Ketchel
    S. Sanchez
Jerry Quarry( his physical prime was realistically from '68-71 but it was quite a roller coaster)
Joe Frazier( Prime was also pretty short but he have us some thrillers)

I'm sure somebody already mentioned Salvador Sanchez. That guy was great for such a young age and had a bright future ahead of him. Such a shame he died at a young age. Matter of fact yesterday I was watching Sanchez vs Gomez. Before the fight even started that boy was just hopping on his toes, he looked like a kid filled with energy and happy to get it on. The way he finished Gomez was something beautiful!

Ketchel and Sanchez should have done so much more. Frazier and Quarry only "peaked" for a couple of years. Frazier from '68-71 and Quarry during the same period. Quarry has some of his bigger wins later but his absolute peak was for only 2 years or so.
