Ken Norton, especially in his Ali and Holmes fights

Jack Johnson - if he'd have gone all out from the get go a la Dempsey/Tyson every fight in his day would've been a WKO1 - he was a nasty puncher - secretly the best puncher of era in the opinion of Corbett and Jeff

With Chris Eubank, it was a case of not really wanting to pull the trigger anymore after the Watson fight.

Jimmy Young of course, and good pick with Eddie Gregory, great fighter, but I wish he was a little busier.

James Toney especially after his loss to Roy Jones he went through a phase where he was just a lazy fighter. Maybe he leaned on his defense too much if thats possible.

Micheal Moorer. He was just a languid fighter. MM had a nice skillset and good crisp power in both hands. He just didnt believe in his stamina or whatever.

Eddie Mustapha Muhammad is a good call as well.

    Very nice pick.

I thought he was going to be something special. He had a nice left hook and a patience style that reminded me of Joe Louis. But, at times he would just sit there and take a beating not returning fire. When he did he cracked hard but, he fought like a dope at times. Not sure why.

When he fought Johnson he just leaned against the ropes and took a beating. When he did decide to let go, his punches looked like murder. I think he would have destroyed Glenn if he decided to let it go.

He was always in counter mode and would fall back against this ropes when he needed a rest which seemed to be often. The thing is, he has an accurate right hand and a nice hook and when he puts them together in combination it usually swing the momentum his way but he takes/took to many rounds off during his career.

Yeah, Juarez was frustrating to watch.

He had power and some great highlight reel KOs (Diaz, Espadas), but often just was too cautious and it was frustrating to see.

    Good call.

There'd be a window of opportunity and it seemed like everyone knew it, but David. But there he'd be way on the outside in the middle of the ring doing his slow motion dip left and dip right thing. Completely stationary and only moving from the waist up. Trying to be Jimmy Young in the upper body movement thing instead of moving his feet and punching.

Then when he did finally throw something, it was telegraphed. But it seemed like it wasn't thrown during that opportunity window.

Mickey Ward. In tons of his fights went most of the fight without doing anything at all before trying to pull it out in the last round or two. He would just plod forward behind that high guard looking to land that left. If it wasnt there he did nothing.

I agree 100%. That fight was weird because Shane damn near knocks Floyd's head off and then just stops fighting.

Ronnie Shields - outstanding at times, infuriating at times. It was like seeing someone hit a pause button.
