has roberto duran done his own book yet. i read one written by a guy a few years ago. i think he was skeptic of duran. there hasnt been one done of tommy hearns is well
people like tex cobb,witherspoon,buster douglas. would also be good if there was enuff public interest in journeymen like bobby crabtree,bruce the mouse strauss,dave jaco,ross purritty et al. these guys may not have been world beaters but i would bet there are some great stories to be told...
Reading John Garfield's posts has me convinced that we need definitive bio's on Willie Pep, Jake LaMotta and Rocky Graziano, just for openers. Each styled to best represent the man, each with the right balance of humor, inner tumult and righteous desire, and each written only by him. No BS John, nobody could do it like you.

Cobb is a total trip. Freaky guy, funny as hell, with a laugh that you'd never forget in a 100 years. I'll never forget him bumming a smoke while getting his hands wrapped for a pro bout.
