GBP is more than a promoter to Hopkins though, same as they were for Barrera. In both cases, they doubled as promotional talents AND high-ranking employees. That's a deeper professional bond than say, the one between Khan and Warren. The four of them were partners as if in a law firm, at least the way HBO presented it and corroborated by how they carried themselves in the spotlight.
Basically I think Marco has a hard time admitting his losses outside of the KO/TKO ones. Some fighters are just that way. I remember him feeling the same way when he lost to Junior Jones by decision. He doesn't take losing well. Rafael Marquez is like that.
