Harding is a good call. He was often happy to wear two or three punches if it meant he could land one of his own

Bobby chacon is a prime candidate.I don't think jack kid berg led with his face though, he was a better boxer than that
Freddie mills took far too much punishment.

Berg especially in America was willing to stand and exchange punches and rely on his super-human work rate to simply win by landing more than his opponent . Which is why he was so popular in America .Mills took huge punishment simply because he wasn't high on the skill department ladder

Berg expected to get hit but because of his stamina usually landed more but some of these other fighters ie Matthew Muhammad, Bobby Chacon and Freddie mills. Absolutely ate punches.

I know he did but I still wouldn't class him as a fighter who took 3 to land one.

Willing to yes and did when required but his work rate meant that only usually applied early to mid of fights as he his out put was higher than most he faced . But he was willing and did in some of his fights

How about a vote for another guy seldom mentioned these days....Indian Red Lopez? Man that guy used to dig himself off the canvas and comeback and splatter guy's with the best of them. What was it, 9 times knocked down and came back to win? Most guys go down, they lose the fight & just not too many are frontrunners anyway that look good only when everything is going their way. Not so with Indian Red.

They should have never put him in with Sal Sanchez though. He was an old fighter by then with a ton of miles on the boxing odometer. Nobody really knew how good Sal was but everyone knew he was a real good boxer with endurance and a chin. But Danny would sign a contract to fight anyone anytime.
