    As in ground you down, left you battered and bruised. Cut you, marked you up.

    Larry Holmes jab was absolutely lethal. The damage he did to the ultra tough Rodney Bobick with that jab alone was stunning.

    Bob Foster's jab was Holmes like in many ways, and as one opponent said "Like being hit by a boxing glove on the end of a broomstick". As far as I know he was the only one to ever cut the very rounded, hard to cut face of Ali.

    Miguel Cotto leaves peoples faces in bad shape. Quintanna and Malignaggi both looked like they'd been through hell.

    In that very same vein, Margarito.

    Two of the best offenses I've ever witnessed belong to Joe Louis and Julio Cesar Chavez. They really knew how to bust their opponents up, and in very similar fashion.

    Wlad Klitschko fits the bill. Tons of his opponents get busted up or visit the canvas. Especially earlier in his career w/ Sdunek when he applied lots more pressure.

    A prime Hagler certainly fit the bill & lots of those opponents looked like they were battered and physically drained about like the thrilla in Manilla. And there would be Hagler in that other corner fresh as a daisy. That sure was a helluva a thing to cope with for those guys and going back out for another round of punishment for more of those 1-2's and that top conditioning and concrete chin in the other corner.

    Frazier actually made Ali look as if Muhammad was in a fight. He busted up Stander (32 stitches), Quarry twice, and Chuvalo.

    Alexis Arguello is the definitive master here, especially with Reyes gloves. He was described as having "razor blades in his gloves" when he dethroned Escalera. His super featherweight title defenses over future champions Limon, Chacon and Navarrete were bloodbaths. His jab was like a scalpel at this weight with Reyes equipment.

    Dwight Braxton would just keep coming & chew a fighter to pieces. Jake LaMotta, Tony Zale, Carmen Basilio would just come in and go to work.
    Julio C. Chavez would equally go to the body & head with devistating results.
    Azumah Nelson keeps attacking , was very effective.
