I should imagine being ringside for a Johnson fight was a singularly unrewarding experience.Young did nothing for me either, nor B Hop.Monzon was never fan friendly but he was incredibly effective.

As mentioned previously FMJ, Wlad, and Young. I'd also add Benitez, Mamby, and Howard Davis Jr.

Monzon is one of my favourite fighters but I found him too boring to watch initially...I can admit he is so boring, I just like watching his fights

I remember a fat and old Corrie Sanders almost killing Wlad.

I can't believe some of the fighters mentioned as 'boring'?? Hearns? Smokin' Joe?
I'm going to forget a lot but Jimmy Young (I love him) might rub people the wrong way.
Pierre Fourie? The South African LHW contender that NO ONE KO'd; he was slick and could pile up some points but not too exciting. Fought a lot of the 'big boys'.
    Joey Maxim? See: Pierre Fourie.
Although I've only seen snippets of Tommy Farr he seems to be in the same category as the above.
Joe Louis said: "the man fought me sideways ALL night"
    May have some more later.

    I didn' t say that.
The fighters I mentioned didn't have a style that appeals to most of the pulbic, as for example, Mike Tyson, Jack Dempsey, Joe Frazier and others. The thread is about fighters who have a monotonous but efficient style.
