We all know the names linked forever in boxing lore. Graziano/Zale, Ali/Frazier, Gatti/Ward, Vasquez/Marquez.......fighters you can't mention without mentioning the other.

But which fighters do you think would have made for another great pairing?

I think back to my childhood and could see Hearns and Leonard fighting an endless string of closely matched, could go either way affairs full of adjustments. They fought once when it mattered, once to cash out. No epic series.

How about Mike Tyson and David Tua? I always thought that would make a solid trilogy.

    Who are yours?

Jones and Hopkins, largely dependent on how a 2000 rematch would of gone.

Barrera and Marquez should of fought earlier in their careers, and probably could of had their own trilogy.

Same concept applies to JMM and Morales.

Lennox Lewis and Riddick Bowe had trilogy written all over it.

Their weights didn't really overlap but Toney vs Hopkins immediately came to mind, say at 168.

Lennox Lewis-ray mercer fought again would of been nice. Never saw a 3rd fight between spinks-Judah. Also cotto-Mosley rematches would be nice

    Tyson/Tua is a good call.

Had he not killed himself, Valero could have made for great fights with Rios, Manny, Maidana, Matthysse, etc.

Morales and Hamed or Morales and Marquez.

    Oscar and Tszyu.

    Mosley and Trinidad.

I'll always be disappointed that Bowe denied boxing fans this fight. As you stated, likely a trilogy.
