Because there is no Dick Taylor. His brother acted like a Dick every time I saw him at the gym. Figure it out man.

I think he means the way Holmes speaks about other fighters, the way he talked about Marciano while Rocky's brother was there was very tasteless.

I still don't believe for one minute that Holmes didn't want to fight Ali, I think he thought of the fight as a way to showcase his talents.

sugar ray leonard....and it surprised me a lot....gave me and my son, then 8, a lot of his time.....we spent around 6-7 minutes chatting and he was in no hurry trying to end the conversation.
actually...and something i havent got on video..and i must chase the tv channel for it...when he came here (to sligo) the rte tv cameras were there to do an evening news report, and when his car pulled up my boy ran over to the car, and when ray got out he grabbed my boys shoulders and walked into the hotel from the car with my lad in front and both his hands on his shoulders all the way in....christ it was something else for me to see it...it was almost like a ringwalk to the hotel :)....but imagine seeing your boy with sugar ray like that...and it was on the evening news on tv.

he spoke about a lot with me, going into detail about the donny lalonde fight saying it was one of his toughest asks considering the stage of his career and size difference.

he made one of the most memorable days i ever had.

Met Larry a few times, he was really a good guy -- this was along the time of his comeback tour.

My father, who's a bit up there in years, was with us when we ran into Larry first time i met him. He shook hands and chatted and then turned to my dad, who was about 60 or so, and started playfully shadowboxing with him and saying, "I'll fight you. I want to fight you. You're the only one who's older than me around here."

Found him to be quite genuinely a fun guy. And this was the day before a fight.

A guy I also met many years ago, not a fighter, but Leroy Neiman, the artist, was a really cool fellow. He was at Tyson-Spinks, this was at the weigh-in and he had done the poster for the fight and was commissioned to do sketches. He had a very attractive 20-something year-old female assistant carrying his stuff and they set up right next to where i was sitting, with Leroy next to me and her on the other side.

I was pretty intimidated, he's a famous artist and of course had the signature mustache and I forget what he was wearing but it was something kind of odd and artisty ... and he was a regular guy, "Oh, let me know if my stuff gets in your way. Are you sure it's OK if we sit here?" Asked me where I was from, etc., and I told him I was very familiar with his work and a great fan, that sort of thing, and he just played it off, asked me what I thought about the fight, on and on, keeping up a conversation while he sketched.

Amazing sometimes when you run across someone who could act the big shot and they act like a regular Joe.

If a man not only takes time out to commiserate with you but invites you to sit with his family, he absolutely should get recognition as being nice. That he may be different on other occasions, at least with the media in groups, does not mean personal experiences when nobody is watching should be denigrated.

Let's be fair & mature here.
