he was a bit before my time but I always felt he was rushed. Had a year or two at the top then unravelled

Agree 100% I was at that fight in Texas. Which fighter collapsed in pain
after the fight too ?? Manny his ribs were badly battered he spent time in hospital in the fetal position said he'd never been hit so hard

It would of happened regardless. Some people make the wrong decisions and I don't think an extra few years would of seen him live a cleaner lifestyle and devote himself to training anymore than he did.

Toney, Vargas and the like were great talents but not dedicated to every aspect of the game and it saw them underachieve which seeing what they accomplished is really saying something.

don’t know much about him at all tbf, except he won a title fairly quickly, was highly touted and had a fierce rivalry with ODLH.

He is a good guy Malph non stop hilarious quotes & one liners. Did you know after the final bell of the Holmes fight Tex asked referee Steve Crosson for 3 more rounds saying " Give me 3 more & I'll knock him out he cant hit me no more" I know this to be true I met Steve in Dallas & asked him about it & he verified it he said " Tex was dead serious too"
