**** scared? I wouldn't pick any of the lineal champions except maybe sharkey or moorer.

Boxers where the fear makes them fight differently(either too aggressive/uneasy or skittish)
    Patterson
    Dempsey
    Klitschko
    a younger Lennox
    McCall
    Baer

    Norton

Foreman (if he was intimidated by Frazier and Norton, he would be the same for Tyson)

    Patterson

  5. The better question is how many fighters Tyson would be afraid of. The answer would be any version of Foreman that is why he ducked the old one. Lewis, Holyfield, Any fighter who wasnt a bum of Don King controlled.

In December promoter Don King offered Foreman $5 million to fight Tyson sometime in 1990. "He gave me a contract and told me to sign on the dotted line," says Foreman, who rejected the offer. "I was more afraid of Don King and the dotted line than I am of Tyson."

Whatever we think of Dempsey, can we at least agree that he was not likley to get intimidated?

Not intimidated, but overexcited, eager to trade, and as a result more technically sloppy than he might be.

Didn't say that he'd be crushed by the fear. But it would change his game.

It took Joe Louis to call Foreman and boost his confidence before his second fight with Frazier in 76. Foreman didn't want to fight Frazier again, Louis took the fear out of Foreman after watching Manilla and convinced him that he wouldn't have much trouble with Frazier.

Foreman said the only guy that scared him before a fight was Frazier, after watching the FOTC. Maybe he's being kind and showing the humble respect he's known for when discussion his opponents.

Saddler and Moore had to boost his confidence before the Frazier fight because George was scared.

Anyone would be scared of a prime Tyson. The only fighters who were said to have no fears of him were Tubbs, Ruddock, Mitch Green, Holyfield and Holmes.

Firstly, assuming that one fighter would be afraid of another is an inherant disrespect.

Secondly, it is an assumption that should never be made unless you have actualy seen the fighter intimidated.

I would give Tyson a good chance at intimidating these fighters:

    Sharkey, Baer, Patterson, Spinks (obviously).

Here are two that he would never intimidate in a million years:

    Jimmy Braddock, Billy Conn.

All top fighters probably enter a world level fight scared or unsettled to some extent.

The crucial factor is that some let it effect them and some don't.

Foreman didn't, but he was more candid about it than most!

That is the only reason why he is even in this discussion!

Lennox Lewis came in frightened during their 2002 clash, which is why shot to **** tyson had a half decent first round. There's no doubt in my mind that prime tyson demolishes prime Lewis, both style wise, and with intimidation
