Lucas Browne and David Price. Always completely unpredictable and entertaining, win or lose. Browne's skills are standard for a bouncer and he bleeds more than a stuck pig, modern day Chuck Wepner, and Price either knocks out or gets knocked out in spectacular fashion every time without fail.

I always liked Troy Dorsey, "Rockin" Rodney Moore and more recently Brandon Rios.

Freddie Pendleton as well, though Freddie at least had that eraser that could beat anybody if he connected.

Rodney & Freddie were two of the bigger stars from the USA's Tuesday Night Fights series. Seen many many of their fights on that show as a youngster.

    Of course Emanuel Augustus (Burton.)

Oh another favorite who wasn't very good but was always in good fights Micky Ward.

I have a soft soft for fighters with iron chins who can take a hell of an ass whooping. I always have. There's nothing more manly than an iron-chinned warrior who just keeps on coming no matter how hard or often you crack them about their head.

Smoking Bert Cooper. I liked it when some prospect would take him on as a “step up” fight on basic cable and he would just smash the **** out of him.
Also King Carlos Molina because I know the guy, trained with him and he’s a really really good guy (outside of that underage girl incident)

i always like to big up his name

    peter buckley

    he fought 300 times

and lost 250 times out of those

but was he a bad fighter
    nope
he fought a whos who of british flyweights to welters / fought many world champs and british champs

and you can count on 1 hand the number of times he was hurt in those 300 fights

he must havve fought 250 fighters with winning records with at least 100 plus unbeaten prospectrs and every one of them he gave a workout to on no notice or prep and took them the distance giving them valuable experience

he was tall and lanky at 5.8 for a flyweight /bantam

later on he went through the weights and ended up at welter

he had an unusual old school cross armed defense / but he knew what he was doing in the ring /

he was like the ultimate proffresional sparring partner and i doubt in my lifetime if there will be another boxer who fights 300 fights and not be steamrollered in any of them no matter who is in front of him.

can you imagine a fighter in with every style in 9 weight classes who was able to take every prospect the distance over decades with no prep / no notice and no idea who or what kind of fighter he was facing until he sepped in the ring.

i saw an interview with frank warren i think it was who said he had peter buckley on speed dial he used him so much to give his prospects a fight.

I have a ton, many of them named here. I love guys who have a flaw they must overcome.

Jesus Soto-Karass hasn't been named here yet, nor Kamegai.

I always wonder what would have happened with his career if he had proper management and promotion from day one. The skills were there, the will was there in abundance.

But he was working day jobs, signing last minute contracts, always at a disadvantage and repeatedly on the bad end of decisions.

All in all I think an HBO under card type fighter, maybe with a trinket at some point is not out of the question.
