Yeah, Donaire has a bit of time on his hands and a path forward no doubt.
I can remember being vaguely impressed by the way that Dzinziruk outdid Santos and thought that he could maybe carve out a decent niche for himself, but I'm not surprised at the way things have gone for him since.

This might mean more to some of the UK contingent on here, but I always had high hopes for Ian Napa even if his size and lack of punch were always going to condemn him. More a wish than an expectation though.

I don't like you, do I? Anyways, not from Holland, but from the greatest country in America: The United States of America!

    ....:?

Yes Curry was first to mind for me, he really looked like he could become the perfect fighter. Real shock when Honeyghan destroyed him. Despite success after he never was the same.

That was a weird-assed fight. Bowe was terrible, Hide seemed to have the right game plan at first, then he gassed like hell out of nowhere and got worse and worse. He could sure bang though. And I don't think he's lost a fight since going down to cruiser...very odd career.

Errol Christie was percieved as a "can't miss" at one point...before he ran into Jose Seys who exposed his lack of punch resistance.

The hype in the UK when Christie turned pro was incredible.

Not his fault though. Universum just gets his fighters belts and then mil it, they did it with Dzinziruk, Erdei, Sturm and many others. I´m glad they lost their TV contract and their fighters are leaving them.

Jürgen Brähmer. He was once deemed "the century talent" and early on he looked like it. Then he went into prison, never looked the same.

    :yep Bad old days.

Erm, I had high hopes for Alex Arthur and high hopes for Kelly Pavlik. The next guy to catch me out might be Nathan Cleverly and I think it's about time Roman Gonzalez made his move.

i thought Oba Carr was gonna be the next big superstar round about the time of the Bramble fight. I think this lad Cleverly has potential too but we will see. Hope i havent gave him the kiss of death.
