I think Margarito put concrete in his mouthpiece. Take him off the list.

Antonio Margarito's chin and concrete in his gloves got him to lose in the world level and struggle in the tomato can level. Whoever mentions Margarito in any "good" list has mental issues or is a dedicated proud cabdriver.

How can a fighter's chin GET him to world level?

If you are a granite chinned guy with the skills of a clubfighter, you will only be a clubfighter - albeit a pretty successful one. You will still lose once you step up a level, unless you come across a fighter with **** defence and a bad chin - which will only prove that the guy shouldn't have been there anyway, most probably.

Having a good chin can help you win a fight that you otherwise might lose, but it isn't going to make you into a world class fighter.

Speaking of Froch, his chin is decent - it is his will that gets him through tough fights, and his power.

surely you chaps are forgetting wayne McCullogh

best chin ive ever seen, never knocked down even once!!!

had less power than a shaken coke can, yet he still won world titles, and fought some of the best bantam and featherweights around

    he`s worth a shout

Look for once can I get a reply from a member on here when I pull them up on a post.

Hopkins has never been a fighter that gets hit a lot so what do you base this from? Even a prime RJJ struggled to land flush so again tell me your reasons why you think his beard alone got him to world level?

Good call indeed! One tough guy, much like Ward.
