Dempsey, from Chapter 18 of 'Championship Fighting'

    "18. Punch Ranks First
You now have a thorough understanding of "punch." Why did I give you such a detailed education in the fundamentals of hitting before I
    taught you any defensive moves?
I did it for many reasons; but the principal reason was this: The best defense in fighting is an aggressive defense. Each defensive move must
be accompanied by a counter-punch or be followed immediately by a counterpunch. And you cannot counter properly if you do not know how to
    punch.
That does not mean that "a strong offense is the best defense." That overworked quotation may apply to other activities; but it does not apply
to fighting. It does not apply when you're pitted against an experienced opponent. You may have the best attack in the world; but if you're an
open target-if you're a "clay pigeon"-you'll likely get licked by the first experienced scrapper you tackle.
YOU MUST HAVE A GOOD DEFENSE TO BE A WELL-ROUNDED FIGHTER. AND THE BEST DEFENSE IS AN AGGRESSIVE DEFENSE."

Manny pacquiao. Examples are his fights with Diaz, Clottey and Rios. He shut down his opponents offence by throwing hundreds of punches.

I think the premise would be not just fighters with a great offense but those who were SO offensively gifted that they almost had contempt for defense in the ring.

I don't count H.Armstrong as such since he weaved and bobbed for defense, like N.Benn + Tyson also. Doesn't mean they didn't have spectacular power and try to use it a lot but they did try to evade punches a bit.

Foreman is an example of someone who wouldn't even bend but just sort of turned his head to vaguely roll with punches! Totally focussed on his own punches landing at some point and would walk through an opponents to do it.
Froch can be a bit like that I guess, completely reckless at points, loading up on punches and not bothered about telegraphing them at all. He does use footwork and angles/turning well when he chooses though.
Pacquiao is also a great example as are many 'Roach' trained fighters....

That's a great way to explain it!
